Victoria
Blackwell found herself strangely drawn to the shaded gray world of
Midnight Hollow. There was a feeling of restless energy in her gut when
she first put two feet on her new property.
She
was overjoyed at the sight of the tiny cottage that had been
constructed on the property. It was small, but it was hers. She needed
a new beginning, and this was just the place!
She hadn't even the money to buy a simple shower, but no
matter, she was inspired! She could feel the creativity seeping in
through her pores (or maybe it was just the rain).
Sometimes, at dusk, the light in Midnight Hollow turned
slightly red, and illuminated the drab grays in a wash of unexpected
color. This was Victoria's favorite time of day. She had found it was
possible to make a living off of her paintings, if she was careful with
expenses.
Even with her artwork keeping her busy, Victoria sometimes caught herself wishing for company. But how could she share her life knowing what she knew? Her life was a shadowed life...
It wasn't until Conrad showed up on her doorstep, looking
to interview the newest resident of Midnight Hollow, that she had a
change of heart. "Would it be so bad," she thought, "to let someone
in...?"
Conrad really had no bad traits. He was a hard worker
and driven to succeed, just like her! It was hard to see her shadows
when he was illuminating the world.
She always thought that finding love would be like a
thunderstorm, or a brilliant flash of light, but it turns out it was
much more subtle.
Falling in love was surprisingly simple, delicious, and satisfying in ways she couldn't begin to describe.
